Our Process

Building a great home starts with inspiration. Perhaps you need to accommodate a growing family, utilise an unused block of land, knock down, or finally build that long-anticipated dream home.

Whatever the reason, Adelaide Designer Homes will work with you to realise your goal.

The Design Process

Our process begins with a one-on-one meeting, where you can talk to us about all your requests and requirements for your new home. Then, your brief to us (either verbal or written), your monetary allowance, a site visit, and a fair measure of creativity, innovation and technical input from our team of experienced building consultants, will be used to create an initial concept plan.

Upon approval, we’ll start fixing costs, undertake soil testing to determine site footing, and any other engineering requirements. Once agreed, council plans are then lodged, and insurances sorted.

We’ll then take you through the contract, so that you’re fully aware of what the building process entails, and where responsibilities lie in terms of respective obligations and unforeseens.

The Exciting Part

Next, it’s a meeting with our suppliers, selection consultants, and our in-house design coordinators who will sit down with you to view what you’ve selected, ensure everything matches, and complete any final finishing touches.

Construction then begins with access firstly to our construction manager, and then to our site supervisor who will look after the final fit out.

When completed, you’ll be taken for a walk-through with the supervisor and Tony Christopher —Adelaide Designer Homes’ director — to make sure you’re happy with the final product.

The Follow Up

Adelaide Designer Homes prides itself on attention to detail. To that end, we follow up with you after three months to confirm that all is okay, and to touch up any oversights during our three month maintenance period.
